All God’s Children 

The Bible tells us that we are all God’s children. But yet, there are some that have a harder time in that role: those who have been convicted of a crime and have served time in prison for that time. Upon leaving prison, integrating into a judgmental society can be very difficult and even defeating. It is hard to present yourself as a child of God if your society views you by your past mistakes. 

To help just this person, one church has a special ministry, All God’s Children. An outreach of the Family of God in Casper, Wyoming, it is a strong model of what many more churches and ministries should consider. Finding those who least present a witness to the Lord and help them find Jesus and show Jesus in their lives…unconditionally and without judgment. For it says in God’s word: “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethern, ye have done it unto me.”  Matthew 25:40 

It’s vision statement sums it up: “We will serve the Lord, through his son Jesus Christ as unconditional servants to our brothers, sisters, and their loved ones, who are in the process of leaving prison and continuing their walk with the Lord.” Consider in your area if this is a vision statement needed in God’s community of service. 

All God's Children is a ministry founded by Bill Harms to assist those who are re-entering society after prison incarceration.  Bill functions as a jail chaplain, in-prison seminar leader and addictions counselor.  His inter-agency contacts assure the best possible assistance for residents.  As pastor, the family under his care receives his full attention.  Their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met through a network of dedicated Christian servants.
